Whirlpool UK Appliances, the home of Hotpoint, Indesit, Whirlpool and KitchenAid brands, has been awarded the Manufacturer of the Year accolade from Sirius Buying Group for its efforts and support offered to members throughout 2020.
Sirius Buying Group hosts an annual conference for its members, which is followed by an awards ceremony, honouring both members of the buying group and suppliers. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 trade show conference and subsequent awards ceremony was hosted online.
The Manufacturer of the Year award was presented to Whirlpool UK based on the results of the quarterly performance ratings provided by retail members of the buying group. Factors that were taken into consideration included customer service, representation and deliveries, as well as the monthly support offered by suppliers for aspects such as online projects and exhibitions.
Steve Jones, managing director, Sirius Buying Group commented: “The growth we experienced with Whirlpool last year (admittedly under extreme circumstances) was hard to overlook, with support still evident as conferences and exhibitions transitioned to digital events.”
Innes Murray, channel director, Whirlpool UK, said: “We are honoured to receive any accolade that demonstrates our mutual working relationship with the independent sector, and this award from Sirius is great testament to the hard work from both the team and the support from the membership.”
