Hoover Candy owner Haier Europe has announced the death of Chris Bennett, channel director – electrical specialists.
Mr Bennett, who was 42, joined Hoover more than 13 years ago and during that time made a very significant contribution to the business.
A highly valued member of the UK senior leadership team at Haier, he had recently been working alongside the commercial and logistics teams, leading a successful project to deliver operational excellence.
After being unwell in 2019, Mr Bennett returned to the business in November 2020, but unfortunately and unexpectedly passed away on Sunday July 4 this year.
David Meyerowitz, chief executive of Haier UK and RoI, said: “Chris will be greatly missed both personally and professionally by friends, colleagues and many in the industry. All of our thoughts and support are with Chris’s family at this extremely sad time, especially his wife and three young children.”
