Satisfactory quality
To be of satisfactory quality, goods must be of a standard that a reasonable
person would regard as satisfactory at the time of sale (having regard to
any description applied to them, the price and all other relevant circumstances).
Someone buying a new television receiver would clearly not expect the tube
to give very soft and poor picture results after a few weeks.
On the other hand, someone buying a 5 year-old television receiver could
not reasonably expect it to perform like a new television, although he could
expect it to give the kind of service that the average television of that
age and model would give.
