The consumer can, of course, at any stage pursue his normal statutory rights and seek redress from the County Courts in England and Wales or the Sheriff Court in Scotland. The simple arbitration procedure available in the County Courts in England and Wales may be suitable for settling the dispute if the consumer is not satisfied with the award or action recommended by the retra Conciliation Panel.
